Poetry in the Interstices of Language——One day while wandering and musing in a park, a gust of wind swept by and transformed the scenery before my eyes. Two Chinese characters instantly came to mind: Qi (divergence) and Yuan (garden). I resolved to depict the unique poetic aura conjured by pairing these two seemingly unrelated words.

By juxtaposing unfamiliar characters, I aim to reignite perception dulled by linguistic habits and cognitive prejudice. I build the world of Qi Yuan through varied compositional techniques—contoured melodic lines, musical inversions, abrupt tonal shifts at pivotal passages, fragmented phrasing, and more—to craft a poetic realm beyond the reach of verbal language.
